Space war  is one of the first video games created in the MIT in the early 60's.Steve "Slug" Russell, Martin "Shag" Graetz and Wayne Witaenem of the fictitious "Hingham Institute" conceived of the game in 1961. Here is the link for the game which is redeveloped using the same source code in java.
